On 10/2/2024 (Wed), SEGA Corporation implemented updates for its popular game PSO2 NEW GENESIS ver. 2 (“NGS ver.2”), including an update to the Exploration Sectors in the Stia Region.
We’ve also introduced a new Face Option: Animatica Face.

■ Stia Region update
Significant changes have been made to the Stia Exploration Sector: Mediola Outer Area 1. Floating islands will appear in mid-air while land rises in the lava fields, and the enemies that appear are Lv. 95 or higher, with nearly all of them morphed into their Megalotix versions.
Trials that occur here will have Side Missions. When you complete these Side Missions a certain number of times, it will trigger a special Trial in which a Gigantix Vardias or Ruine Angele appears. We have also added a Title Task that can be completed by defeating Ruine Angele, so be sure to complete this Task and earn the N-Augment Transfer Pass Vouchers.
Also, keep an eye out for new, rare Trials, such as ones where Recon Gigants appear and Co-op Trials where you get a partial M.A.R.S. battery charge-up upon completion.
Furthermore, additional Updrafters and Sky Lifters will be placed to fit the changed terrain, and a new object called the Comfort Lily will also appear. Comfort Lilies explode after receiving a certain amount of damage, damaging enemies and inflicting Elemental Down over a wide area. It also restores the HP of players in the vicinity for a certain period of time after the explosion and generates an effect that nullifies damage from lava.
Make good use of these objects as you navigate and fight your way through the area.
■ Various feature improvements and new gameplay elements
・New Face Options
The new Animatica Face has been added to the default Face Options in Character Creation and the Salon.
The shape of the eyes and the wide-open mouth allow for even more anime-like expressions. It can be used for a wide range of faces, from exaggerated to sharp, so give it a try and see what you think.
