On 7/31/2024 (Wed), SEGA Corporation implemented updates for its popular game PSO2 NEW GENESIS ver. 2 (“NGS ver.2”), including the addition of a new special armament, M.A.R.S.
■ New content: M.A.R.S.
We’ve added a new special armament, M.A.R.S. Players can unlock M.A.R.S. by completing the designated Main Task. You can activate it at any time during battle to fight for a set time with special actions that utilize armaments.
From the Class Counter, you can enhance the armament’s skills as well as your basic stats when onboard M.A.R.S.
M.A.R.S. Skill Points are required for enhancement. You can obtain these Skill Points by exchanging M.A.R.S. Updaters, which are devices for improving abilities, at the M.A.R.S. Skill Point Exchange accessible from the Class Counter. You can get M.A.R.S. Updaters through Task rewards and drops.
In addition, a M.A.R.S. Palette item will be added under Gear/Sub-Palette in the Main Menu. The main armament, sub armament, M.A.R.S. Skill List and Support COM Voice when onboard M.A.R.S. can be freely customized, and up to 10 sets can be saved.
We’ve also added Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks that can be completed using M.A.R.S. Complete these Tasks to get the BP: M.A.R.S. Flying Ram and M.A.R.S. Updaters.
■ A New Limited-time Quest
We’ve added the new Limited-time Quest: M.A.R.S. Training Center. This new content lets you to freely practice M.A.R.S. Actions. It has no Quest Completion or rewards, and there is no time limit. When you’re done practicing with M.A.R.S., just go to the Main Menu and select Abandon Quest to exit.
Note that this quest can only be accepted if M.A.R.S. has been unlocked, so be sure to complete the added Main Task first.
Accessing the new M.A.R.S. battery charger object will restore a set amount of your M.A.R.S. battery power, so you can play around with M.A.R.S. as much as you need to get used to it. Be sure to try it out in battles all around Halpha!
