TRUE, who celebrates her 10th anniversary as an anime song singer this year, has announced that she will release her first double A-side single on April 24. This single will feature “ReCoda,” the opening theme song of Sound! Euphonium 3, and “Blue Days,” the opening theme song of As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World. Both series are set to premiere in April in Japan.
“ReCoda” can be said to be the culmination of TRUE’s work on the Sound! Euphonium series, for which she has sung all of the theme songs. Rather than looking back on the past, this song serves as an anthem for those who have lived through past experiences and are now embracing the present. Sung in a strong and refreshing tone, the lyrics convey a message like, “The days that I spent immersing myself in something made me the person I am today,” evoking memories of youth that everyone has experienced.
“Blue Days,” the opening theme song of As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World,” is a song that expresses the world of the anime in a grand yet light-hearted way. It has a kindness that seems to extend a helping hand to the listener, making them feel more optimistic.
Furthermore, the Artist Edition includes TRUE’s first Valentine’s Day song, titled “Gift.” The lyrics are filled with words of love for someone special, creating a sweet pop tune that conveys irresistible feelings of happiness.

Debuting as “TRUE” in 2014, she got her start singing the opening theme song for the anime Buddy Complex and went on to sing a slew of other theme songs including those from Sound! Euphonium, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Violet Evergarden. TRUE is a skilled singer able to sing all kinds of songs, from intensely passionate ones to majestic ballads.
Streamed over 40 million times online, Violet Evergarden’s theme song “Sincerely” has become one of TRUE’s signature songs. She has gained a substantial following and made appearances at anime concerts and events around the world.
In addition to singing, she writes lyrics under her real name, Miho Karasawa. She was involved in creating music for the anime Aikatsu Stars! and Macross Delta, as well as for a number of character songs, artists, and voice actors including Eir Aoi and Inori Minase.
