July 31, 2026 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that SEGA STORE OSAKA, its first flagship store in the Kansai region, will open on Friday, October 2, 2026, on the 6th floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO.
As a store that embodies SEGA’s transmedia strategy, expanding SEGA’s IPs beyond games into film, music, manga, and more – SEGA STORE locations have been expanding globally since the opening of SEGA STORE SHANGHAI (Shanghai, China) in May 2025. Following with SEGA STORE TOKYO (Shibuya, Tokyo), Japan’s first flagship store which opened in July 2025, now with the opening of SEGA STORE OSAKA, this becomes the first permanent SEGA STORE in the Kansai region.
By bringing together many IPs SEGA has created throughout its history of over 65 years, the store will offer a wide range of popular IP merchandise – including items available only in Osaka – delivering “surprise and excitement” to fans in Osaka and around the world.

To demonstrate this, the store features adjustable lighting and a large transparent double-sided LED display, creating a striking space where technology and culture converge, and an immersive atmosphere that only an official store can offer.

Ahead of the opening of SEGA STORE OSAKA, a collaboration campaign will kick off on Friday, August 7. To welcome customers with true Osaka hospitality on opening day, Sonic will visit beloved local Osaka characters and organizations, experiencing the region’s culture one step at a time.

Sonic takes the stage in “YOSHIMOTO COMEDY NIGHT ～Sitcom～,” a new style of Yoshimoto comedy performed entirely in English! There, Sonic will experience authentic Osaka comedy, including the art of the tsukkomi (comic retort) – live on the Shinkigeki stage!
