Major League Soccer, Japan National Football Team, and FC Bayern Munich Coming This June
May 25, 2026 – SEGA unveiled a number of exciting announcements for SEGA FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONS 2026, available on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, iOS, Android, and Steam, during the 15 May SEGA FCC TV Spring ’26 Half-Time Special. Read on to find out more.
We have acquired official licences for Major League Soccer (MLS) – comprising 30 clubs across the United States and Canada – the Japan national football team, and Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich. These clubs will be added to Career Mode as part of the Ver. 2.0 update arriving in June. New Scouting lineups featuring these licenses are also in the works.
Following the Ver. 2.0 update, the key visual will also be updated to feature MLS and the Japan national football team.
Other licences include K League 2 and BG Pathum United FC of Thai League 1, home to former J.League player Chanathip Songkrasin. These will be implemented at a later date, so stay tuned.
Roster Update on The Way
The Ver. 2.0 roster update includes changes to leagues, clubs, and players in Career Mode for the new season.
The main focus will be updating the J.League and K League rosters to match their real-life counterparts.
In the new version, all club progress from before the update will carry over, but the season will restart no matter where you last saved. Any Prime Players you own can still be used.
More details will be announced at a later date.
Career Mode Update
Alongside the roster update, tons of content is coming to Career Mode.
Ver. 2.0 will introduce extra save slots, a new advancement speed, more predicaments, and unique player comments.
