PassCode Reveals New Song at Arena Concert! Roll Over and Die Tie-Up to Be Released as Single Next Year! [PRESS RELEASE]

Posted on 12 November 2025 by TheMartinV

On November 9, the four-member female vocal and dance group PassCode held their arena concert PassCode YOKOHAMA BUNTAI 2025 “DESTINEX” at Yokohama BUNTAI in Kanagawa. Marking their first arena performance in about three years and nine months since their 2022 Budokan show, the event was a special occasion for both the group and their fans. On this day, they surprised the audience with the first-ever live performance of their latest song “Liberator,” announced as the opening theme for the TV anime Roll Over and Die, set to begin airing in January 2026. They also revealed that the song will be released as a single on March 4, 2026.

Published by Micro Magazine, Roll Over and Die is a dark fantasy story about the protagonist, Flum, who, despite having zero stats, is chosen by the God Origin to join the Hero’s Party and continues to push forward alongside newfound companions. PassCode’s opening theme “Liberator” can be heard in the anime’s newly released PV.

Alongside the single announcement, PassCode unveiled a new artist photo featuring the denim-based outfits worn at Yokohama BUNTAI. The fresh visual marks a shift from their previous images, showcasing a brighter, more pop-inspired style.

It was also announced that the Yokohama BUNTAI concert will be exclusively streamed on U-NEXT, with the streaming start date to be revealed later via PassCode’s official social media. Leading up to that release, several past performances will be available for unlimited streaming: PassCode ASIA TOUR 2024 Final at Zepp Osaka Bayside on November 13, PassCode presents VERSUS PASSCODE 2024 Vol.2 at Spotify O-EAST on November 27, and PassCode Zephyren 10th Anniversary A.V.E.S.T project Kodo at Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium on December 18. Whether you couldn’t make it to the arena or joined the excitement in person, you can relive the energy through these past live performances before the Yokohama BUNTAI stream goes live.

Profile

PassCode consists of four members: Nao Minami, Kaede Takashima, Hinako Ogami, and Emily Arima. They have a versatile repertoire based on a band sound, punctuated by their distinctive shouts and screams, and have performed at numerous major festivals such as SUMMER SONIC and ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, earning broad support from both rock enthusiasts and idol fans.

After making their major debut in 2016, they released their first international album Ex Libris PassCode in America, Europe, and Canada under the UK’s JPU Records in October 2018. The track “Ichikabachika” from their 2019 album CLARITY was selected as the opening theme for the TV drama Kakegurui season 2 and the movie Kakegurui. In 2020, their single “STARRY SKY,” which was chosen as the theme song for the drama 182 Days Left, earned them their first-ever No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart and Billboard JAPAN Weekly Single Chart. They also made their debut appearance on Nippon Broadcasting System’s All Night Nippon 0.

In February 2022, they held their first concert at Nippon Budokan. In 2023, they embarked on their first US tour, “PassCode US / JAPAN TOUR 2023 -GROUNDSWELL-,” which included stops in Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York, as well as 11 cities and 12 venues in Japan. In June 2024, they moved to Bandai Namco Music Live. Their September release “WILLSHINE” was chosen as the OP theme for season 2 of the anime SHY, and their new song “SKILLAWAKE” was selected as the OP theme for season 2 of As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World. Looking ahead, their first arena concert in about three years, PassCode YOKOHAMA BUNTAI 2025 “DESTINEX”, is scheduled for November 2025.
