Ordinary people are unable to perceive the Dark Hour, a period of time hidden between one day and the next. Strega exploits this phenomenon to carry out their sinister operations. They eventually cross paths with SEES, who seek to put an end to the Dark Hour.
TAKAYA (Voice: Nobutoshi Canna)
The leader of Strega, a three-member group that uses the Dark Hour for their own sinister purposes. Takaya views the Dark Hour in a positive light, seeing it as a special realm reserved for Persona users.
Despite his sketchy appearance, he has drawn many to his cause with his remarkable charisma.
Takaya fires a pistol in battle.
JIN (Voice: Masaya Onosaka)
One of the three members of Strega, a group that uses the Dark Hour for their own sinister purposes.
Jin is an intelligent young man who runs the organization’s website and specializes in collecting intel. He utilizes grenades in battle.
CHIDORI (Voice: Miyuki Sawashiro)
One of the three members of Strega, a group that uses the Dark Hour for their own sinister purposes. She always wears a striking white dress.
Chidori rarely shows her emotions and often distances herself from others. She wields a hatchet in battle.
• OTHER CHARACTERS
Shuji Ikutsuki (Voice: Hideyuki Hori)
The chairman of Gekkoukan High School and an advisor for SEES. Ikutsuki loves to share puns and dad jokes, often to the exasperation of those around him.
Despite being able to enter the Dark Hour, he lacks a Persona.
Ikutsuki has reservations about sending SEES into battle while he can only watch from the sidelines.
Ryoji Mochizuki (Voice: Akira Ishida)
A second-year transfer student at Gekkoukan High School who has recently returned from living abroad.
Ryoji has a knack for making friends due to his cheerful and outgoing demeanor.
He quickly strikes up a rapport with the members of SEES.
Elizabeth (Voice: Miyuki Sawashiro)
A resident of the Velvet Room, a realm that can be only visited by the protagonist. Elizabeth helps him develop his Persona abilities.
She shows an interest in the outside world, often making requests to the protagonist and going on excursions with him.
Pharos (Voice: Akira Ishida)
A mysterious boy who meets the protagonist when he moves into the dormitory and forms a contract with him.
He appears occasionally afterward to give the protagonist advice.
Pharos’s true identity and goals are shrouded in mystery.
■ Combat System
Persona’s signature turn-based combat system gets a major revamp!
Striking an enemy’s weakness will down them, allowing you to attack again. Once all enemies have been downed, you can now unleash a powerful All-Out Attack! Target enemy weaknesses and make use of the new mechanics to turn the tides in your favor!
• Exploit Enemy Weaknesses to Deal Heavy Damage with One More and All-Out Attacks!
Normal Attacks and skills have elemental affinities that will correspond to an enemy’s weakness. Hitting their weakness will deal heavy damage and down them. You can also down a foe through a critical hit.
Downing an enemy activates a One More, allowing you to take another action. If you down all enemies, you’ll be given a chance to unleash a powerful All-Out Attack! However, the same goes for your enemies—if they manage to down you, they’ll also be able to act again!
• Direct Commands and Use the Assist Function
This remake adopts (features such as) direct commands and the assist function from Persona 5. Directly control your party’s actions with the press of a button and use the assist function to quickly find enemy weaknesses.
• Chain Attacks by Shifting!
The Baton Pass mechanic from Persona 5 makes its return as Shifting! After triggering a One More, you can Shift to swap out a character. Use this to maximize your attacks!
• Turn the Tides with Theurgy!
Theurgy is a powerful new skill that can be used when its gauge is filled to the max.
The Theurgy gauge will accumulate as you perform actions during battle, such as attacking enemies or using skills. Each character also has a special action that will provide a significant boost to the gauge. Use Theurgy to turn the tables in one fell swoop!
