Sonic Origins Plus will Feature New Playable Characters, New Game Gear Titles, and Bundled DLC
March 24, 2022 – SEGA is pleased to announce that Sonic Origins Plus and the Sonic Origins Expansion Pack DLC, which includes the Plus Content Pack, will be released on June 23rd, 2023 (Fri). Sonic Origins Plus features the addition of new playable characters, twelve titles from the Game Gear, and new content through the Plus Content Pack.
Sonic Origins Plus will be sold in physical and digital formats on the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Nintendo Switch™. Digital versions will be available on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC for Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Original Bonus Items for the Physical Edition of Sonic Origins Plus!
The physical version of Sonic Origins Plus will come with an original artbook and a reversible SEGA Genesis jacket.
In addition, a Record-Shaped Rubber Coaster will be given away as a preorder bonus! Also, you can listen to the game’s soundtrack by scanning the 2D barcode inside. Enjoy these exclusive items!

A bundle that includes all of the new content and past DLC. Those who already own Sonic Origins should check this out! The DLC includes the Plus Content Pack, which features the Sonic CD version of Knuckles and Amy added as playable characters, 12 Game Gear titles have also been added; the Classic Music Pack, which has additional songs for Sounds in the Museum (a total of 73 songs from Sonic Spinball, Knuckles’ Chaotix, and Sonic 3D Blast); and the Premium Fun Pack, which has 11 additional Hard Missions, 10 Letterbox Backgrounds, and character animations in the main menu for Sonic, Tails and Dr. Eggman, free camera view of the main menu island, and character animations in the music player

• Amy Makes Her Long-Awaited Debut as a Playable Character!
After much anticipation and waiting from the fans, the energetic and cheerful hedgehog Amy is now available as a playable character! Embark on an adventure with a different flair from the others!
• Knuckles Can Now be Played in Sonic CD!
In Sonic Origins Plus, Knuckles can be selected as a playable character in Sonic CD! A new route has also been added to Sonic CD, so make sure to try it out!
• 12 Game Gear Titles Added!
A dozen Game Gear* titles have been newly added, including Sonic Chaos, Tails Adventure, and the original four titles of the series. With Sonic the Hedgehog for the Game Gear, you can enjoy unique stages and soundtracks that are different from those in the SEGA Genesis version. Also, two-player matches are now possible in Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, and Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine!
