Well, just today I finished Hanasaku Iroha, which ended on Episode 26. This episode closes the anime series well, and gives a fine end to what was a very exciting story through which Ohana grows and changes along with the people around her in Kissuiso.
This image is where Ohana finally leaves Yunosagi, carrying along with her the memories of her stay and a notebook that made her promise to come back. I’m guessing there will be a lot of fanfics out there that would make their own version of her return.
And to think of it, that screencap’s wallpaper material, ne?
The ending was bittersweet, somewhat I could place on the same level as Angel Beats! and Clannad level.
I hope to see more series with this kind of ending– it makes watching them worthwhile.
