April 3, 2023 – SEGA has now shipped over 3 million copies of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles (produced by Aniplex, Inc; compatible platforms: PlayStation®5 / PlayStation®4 / Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One / Steam® / Nintendo Switch™) worldwide*!
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, the game based on the animated series that first aired in April 2019, was produced, and published in Japan by Aniplex, Inc**, developed by CyberConnect2 Co., Ltd and published for foreign markets by SEGA. This game features beautiful graphics, staggering character skills, and techniques, as well as a feel for the characters that only a video game can offer and has received high praise as a result.
Following its release, the first console title based on the anime adaptation of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has been touted for the addition of new playable characters through free updates and the Character Packs that were released in five instalments as DLC.
To celebrate over 3 million copies being shipped, the PlayStation® version will go on sale for a limited time so that even more players can enjoy this title.
The Standard Edition will be available for 45% off and the Deluxe Edition for 50% off.
Furthermore, the Character Pass DLC which features seven characters from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime that can be used in Versus Mode will be available for 35% off. Other DLC will also be available for up to 30% off.
*This is a sum of all physical version copies, including the limited-edition version, and digital version copies that have been sold.
