August 1, 2025 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that Yakuza Kiwami 2, a complete reimagining of the second game in the series, is coming to Nintendo Switch™ 2 on November 13, 2025. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Yakuza Kiwami will launch on the same day.

In this sequel to the first Yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, must face the ambitious Ryuji Goda, the Dragon of Kansai, in an all-out war between rival yakuza clans. This time, the stakes are even higher and Kiryu is caught in a conflict between Kamurocho and Sotenbori. Kiryu’s revamped combos and Heat Actions allow anyone to step into the brawl and have a blast!
Yakuza Kiwami 2 also includes the Majima Saga, an original story that takes place between the events of Yakuza and Yakuza 2.

Kiryu is known throughout the Japanese underworld as the legendary Dragon of Dojima. His loyalty and integrity make him well-respected among his peers.
After leaving the yakuza life behind, he’s been living peacefully with Haruka Sawamura. But when he witnesses an attack on the Tojo Clan’s fifth chairman, Yukio Terada, he finds himself swept up in a war with the formidable Omi Alliance of Kansai.
Second Patriarch of the Omi Alliance’s Go-Ryu Clan
Ryuji Goda (VA: Masami Iwasaki)
Son of the Omi Alliance’s fifth chairman Jin Goda, Ryuji is a charismatic figure known as the Dragon of Kansai. He despises his nickname, however, due to his belief that there should only be one true dragon.
Though Ryuji isn’t afraid to resort to brute force or other tactics to achieve his ambitions, he refuses to compromise his own principles. Coveting the Tojo Clan’s turf, the Dragon of Kansai launches an invasion into Kamurocho.
The Girl at the Center of the 10 Billion Yen Incident
Haruka Sawamura (VA: Rie Kugimiya)
A young girl who crossed paths with Kiryu in the midst of a Tojo Clan conspiracy. A year ago, she was caught in the crossfire of several dangerous factions. Despite losing both of her parents, she remained hopeful, inspiring Kiryu to do the same. Now, the two live peacefully under one roof.
Osaka Prefectural Lead Police Detective, Division Four: Organized Crime
Kaoru Sayama (VA: Aya Hisakawa)
A talented police superstar who passed the Tier II Public Service Exam at 20 and became Osaka PD’s lead detective at 25. Her merciless takedowns of yakuza criminals have earned her a reputation as the Yakuza Huntress. However, behind her tough exterior lies someone who’s driven to uncover her missing past.
In order to uncover the truth, she volunteers to become Kiryu’s custody officer and becomes one of his allies.

A violent and unpredictable yakuza known as the Mad Dog of Shimano. Many have looked to him as a central figure for securing the clan’s future, but he himself expresses little interest in running the organization and instead maintains his position as a lone wolf.
