Spectator Registration Now Open
January 30, 2026 – SEGA is excited to announce that spectator registration is now open for the first-ever VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship GLOBAL FINALS, which will kick off on March 1, 2026, at TOKYO NODE in Toranomon Hills Station Tower.
The tournament will feature 10 players who advanced through the offline and online qualifiers held across Japan, Asia, Europe, and North America. Competitors will face off to become the very first Global Champion, with a grand prize of $100,000!
Alongside the tournament, a host of freebies, merch, demo stations, mini tournaments, refreshments, and more will be available at the venue.
A live stream to determine the tournament bracket is also scheduled to air from 10:00 PM on February 13 (UTC+8). Be sure to tune in!
Spectator Registration
You must register in advance to watch the event in person. Please fill out the form below to apply. If there are too many applicants, attendees will be selected by lottery.
Even if you do not register or are not selected, you are still welcome to drop by the venue for merch, demo stations, mini tournaments, refreshments, and the other exciting activities in store.

A zone for refreshments will be available inside the venue, offering a selection of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and food for attendees to enjoy between matches. For each drink or food item purchased, attendees will receive a Virtua Fighter series logo sticker at random.

Stop by the merch corner to pick up new collaboration items from the apparel brand Soxsocks.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Gameplay Area
A gameplay area for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will be available at the venue. Attendees can duke it out with other players through mini-tournaments and open challenge battles held at set times. Everyone is welcome to join, so be sure to stop by!
JUST TOURNAMENT
A one-round, single-match tournament where 16 players will need to take down their opponent before the 45-second time limit is up. If you wish to participate, please arrive at the demo area at least 20 minutes before the tournament begins. Participants will be selected by lottery.
*The tournament start time will be announced at a later date.
FREE KNOCK-OUT
When no mini-tournaments are running, the area will be open for challenge matches! Players who achieve five consecutive wins will receive a Virtua Fighter Mini Acrylic Figure.
