October 7 – SEGA and The Creative Assembly Limited are excited to announce that the Game Overview video has been released for Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition, revealing the updates and improvements coming to this title.
Launching on October 13th, this definitive release honours the timeless design of the original, pairing enhanced graphics, lighting and textures with a redesigned UI, modern controls, and everything a new generation of warrior needs to conquer feudal Japan.

Here’s an at-a-glance view of what to expect:
• Enhanced for modern PCs: A 64-bit upgrade, improved stability, borderless fullscreen and scalable UI support for 1440p, 4K and ultrawide displays.
• Upgraded visuals: Improved textures, models, lighting, shadows, fog and environments, alongside modern rendering, anti-aliasing and upscaling options.
• A new cinematic style: Optional 2.5D campaign movies inspired by Japanese Ukiyo-e art.
• More ways to shape your campaign: Adjustable Realm Divide settings, Quick Deal diplomacy and more than 50 officially playable minor factions.
• Modern battle controls: Updated hotkeys, easier unit movement and rotation, and a new bird’s-eye battle view.
• Expanded quality-of-life options: Customisable overlays and battle UI, colour adjustment presets, separate voice and text languages, and faster access to diplomacy and armies.
• Expanded localisation: Full Japanese and Chinese localisation, with additional text support for Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish.

All changes, additions and fixes are exclusive to Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition. The original Total War: SHOGUN 2 will remain available and fully playable as it is today, allowing players to continue their campaigns with full access to existing mods.
