Kicking off Year Two with a Free Content Update
New Duel Mode Gets the Green Light
The all-new Duel Mode, a Gadget system upgrade, revamped Festivals, and more all arrive with a free day-one update.
– Duel Mode
Duel Mode sets the stage for 1v1 showdowns where pure skill takes the crown in online and offline battles. Two racers go head-to-head with complete visibility of each other’s items and gadgets. Read your opponent’s movements and adapt on the fly to win!
The new mode also introduces Duel Boost, a gauge that charges as time passes and players use items. The further behind a racer is from their opponent, the faster the gauge fills up, allowing for clutch comebacks.
There are many ways to play, including offline matches against DLC characters and other CPU rivals, and online races against friends online or other players around the world.
– Gadget System Upgrade
The Grand Master Plate takes the gadget system to the next level, letting players equip a new seventh Super Slot. This slot amplifies the effect of any one-slot gadget.
We’ll also be releasing 15 brand-new gadgets, with even more to come throughout the year.
– DLC Racers Now Available as CPU Opponents
After clearing all seven Grand Prix and viewing the credits, racers introduced through free and premium DLC will appear in Grand Prix and Race Park as CPU opponents.
*Machine parts cannot be customized for the Hello Kitty Apple Kart and Kuromi Charming Cruiser Machines included in the Virtual Sanrio Puroland Pack.
*The Virtual Sanrio Puroland course included in the Virtual Sanrio Puroland Pack is not available in Mirror Mode.
– Leveled-Up Festivals
Every Festival will now run for a full 10 days, giving players more time to compete. Select Year One Festivals will also make a comeback.
