Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Arrives on September 25, 2025!

June 9, 2025 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds comes out on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™, Steam, and Epic Games. Pre-orders are now open on the PlayStation™Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch™ 2 at a later date.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a brand-new title crafted by an elite crew of SEGA racing game developers. Players can join Sonic and his friends for some high-octane, unpredictable racing fun packed with surprises! Enjoy online multiplayer (cross-play) across different supported platforms and compete against players from around the world!

Once Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches, new content will be added to the game through free updates and the Season Pass. Wave 1 of the Season Pass will bring the world of Minecraft to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Steve, Alex, and Creeper will be stepping out of the Overworld to compete against Sonic and his friends! A Minecraft-themed machine and course will also be added to the game. On top of that, free updates will add Hatsune Miku, Joker (Persona 5 Royal), and Ichiban Kasuga (Like a Dragon) as new racers.

Digital Deluxe Edition and Early Purchase/Pre-Order Bonus

 

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes both the base game and the Season Pass DLC, which expands the character lineup with guest stars from other universes (outside the realm of SEGA). Look forward to playing with an expanded roster via the Digital Deluxe Edition and free updates!

 

– Minecraft DLC Arriving with The First Wave of The Season Pass

 

The Season Pass will bring crossover content to the game via DLC. The first wave of the Season Pass content will see Sonic’s world collide with Minecraft! Step up to the wheel as Steve, Alex, and Creeper, hop into your minecart, and race across the all-new Minecraft World course!

– Digital Deluxe Edition

 

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds contains the base game and the Season Pass, which comes with Nine, Rusty, and Dread from Sonic Prime.

The Season Pass also lets you play as special crossover racers and gives you access to unique machines and courses as they become available! More details will be released soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates!
