Venture deep into the Life Sciences Institute and, with Pearl’s help, stop the scheme to “weaponize the husk.”
Singapore, September 20, 2026 — Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced today that Version 4.6 of Honkai: Star Rail, “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” will officially launch on September 28, 2026. Following the conclusion of the previous story, Nihilux officially revealed her identity as Aha, the Aeon of Elation. Now, alongside the Trailblazer and with Pearl’s assistance, they will head to the Life Sciences Institute deep within Astropolis to uncover the truth behind the scheme to “weaponize the husk.”

Serving as the source of all imagenae in Astropolis, the Life Sciences Institute was built under the leadership of Madam Yabuli, head of the IPC’s Technology Department. Now, Yabuli is pushing forward a dangerous plan to “weaponize the husk,” at the cost of every life in Planarcadia, and is even suspected of harboring ties with a mysterious faction that worships the Voracity in Astropolis. To protect the peace of Planarcadia, Pearl plans to use the recovery of Leviathan Essence as a cover to dispatch Kuchiba and Ashveil on a coordinated investigation deep into the Life Sciences Institute, teaming up with the Trailblazer and Nihilux to crush this conspiracy once and for all.
In this update, Pearl, a 5-star Ice character following the Path of Elation, will officially become a playable character. The CEO of Planarcadia has always been known for her raw computational power and rational decision-making. When the critical threat of the Voracity struck, she decisively arranged for Planarcadia’s residents to evacuate on the Astral Express, while she herself stayed behind to oversee the encanvasing ritual. In this story, Pearl and the Trailblazer will witness together how “Preservation” and “Art” ultimately merge into a single theme. Outside the story, Pearl’s understanding of art is equally reflected in combat. During combat, Pearl can consume her “Certified Banger” to offset a portion of DMG for all ally characters. At the same time, Pearl can enter the “Deep Learning” state to learn the combat data of a designated teammate and gain a corresponding Enhanced ATK. If this teammate is an Elation character, Pearl’s Enhanced ATK will deal additional Elation DMG to enemies. If the entire team consists of Elation characters, this teammate will also gain an extra turn, while receiving a massive amount of Punchline and “Certified Banger.”
Throughout Version 4.6, the drop rates for the limited 5-star character Pearl and the limited 5-star Light Cone “Colors for Tomorrow” will both be boosted. The limited 5-star character Evanescia will also receive a rerun in the first half of the version. Then, in the second half, the limited 5-star character Mortenax Blade will be getting a rerun, continuing to provide indispensable help for your trailblazing expedition.
As for the version’s events, the brand-new “Love, Ghosts & Robots” event is coming soon. The Trailblazer will help the resurrected Skott run a mechatron workshop, assembling and selling mechatrons to gradually build the workshop into a project with a five-star rating. Meanwhile, the massive combat reality show event, “Interastral Peace Gala: One Take,” will also kick off. On top of that, the brand-new “Astral Imagea” gameplay will officially debut. Trailblazers can obtain multiple Astral Imageas to tag along on their adventures, and co-op with friends to take on the “Astral Slammers Squad!” challenge. Furthermore, Hyacine’s new outfit “Warm Cotton Skies” and Evanescia’s new outfit “Lunar Blossoming” will hit the Outfit Show Window together. You absolutely don’t want to miss out!
Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail has officially announced a collaboration with Razer! The collaboration peripherals feature a Silver Wolf LV.999-themed gaming chair, keyboard, mouse, and headset, which will be released simultaneously across multiple regions worldwide. Furthermore, the Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero collaboration characters have been officially unveiled: Ellen and Astra Yao from the world of Zenless Zone Zero will join the cosmic adventure in Version 4.8. Honkai: Star Rail is now available on PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store, and PS5, and has officially exceeded 150 million total downloads across all platforms. In 2023, the game won Apple’s App Store iPhone Game of the Year, Google Play’s Best Game, and BEST MOBILE GAME by The Game Awards. In 2024, it received the Golden Joystick Awards Still Playing Award (Mobile) and PlayStation® Partner Awards 2024 PARTNER AWARD among other honors.
