Daoko has released a music video for “Rhythm in the Sunset,” the lead track from her latest digital EP meta millefeuille, which came out on November 19, 2025.

The video was directed by Yuichiro Saeki, who previously handled Daoko’s music videos “Otogi no Machi” and “Kaeritai!” and is currently joining her Asia tour as a VJ. The piece blends nostalgic footage from Daoko’s everyday life with modern graphics, creating a warm, 2000s-inspired work that evokes brief flashes of memory.

Comment from Daoko:

I put this song together by arranging my favorite words found in everyday life to match namitape’s exciting sound. While creating it, I pictured scenes from a walk, and with that image in mind, I wanted the music video to feel familiar and approachable, so I asked Director Saeki, with whom I have a close relationship and whom I deeply respect. The shoot was very enjoyable, with a calm, pleasant atmosphere throughout. The gentle expressions we captured during that warm, sunlit moment are closer to my natural self than what I’ve shown before, which makes me feel a little shy, but Director Saeki brought everything together beautifully, so I hope you enjoy it.

Comments from Yuichiro Saeki:

I hope you can enjoy Daoko’s expressions and gestures, which shine with a unique radiance while remaining true to herself, together with the world of the song.
