Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 OST Art & Track List Revealed!

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 on Netflix is the latest installment in the Ghost in the Shell series. Adding to this new title is The Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Original Soundtrack, which will be released on June 3, 2020.

 

Today, the jacket art and track list were revealed.

 

 

Catch GTS: SAC_2045 on Netflix!

Based in Tokyo and Los Angeles, composers Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi have created scores for numerous films, video games, and anime such as the Metal Gear Solid series, Uzumasa Limelight, Halo 5: Guardians, and Ultraman.

All these were composed using a combination of elements from orchestral, acoustic and electronic genres.

Over the last 2 decades, the duo have received numerous awards and honors including the BAFTA Games Award, NAVGTR Awards, Global Music Award, and MPSE Golden Reel Award.

The Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 soundtrack also features renowned musicians such as legendary drummer Simon Phillips, a former member of the band Toto, and Ernest Tibbs, the bassist from the Protocol Series.

The jacket art, which was designed to commemorate the series’ release on Netflix, features a Ghost in the Shell graphic reminiscent of a mandala.

Nobuko Toda x Kazuma Jinnouchi

Based in Tokyo and Los Angeles, Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi are an award-winning music composition and production team, who specialize in creating scores for film, television and video games.

The duo’s music combines elements of orchestral, acoustic and electronic genres with musical sound design to create evocative and diverse soundscapes, thus creating distinctive and emotional scores that enhance the storytelling.

Toda and Jinnouchi have written music for numerous internationally-recognized projects – including Remothered: Tormented Fathers, Halo 5: Guardians, Uzumasa Limelight, Halo 4, A Realm Reborn – Final Fantasy XIV, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 3.

The soundtrack album for Halo 5: Guardians was highly recognized worldwide and ranked #2 on Billboard’s soundtrack chart during the first week of its release.

In the recent years, Toda and Jinnouchi have begun working closely with award-winning directors Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki, and wrote scores for Netflix ULTRAMAN, as well as the latest installment in the highly-acclaimed Ghost in the Shell series, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, which is coming to Netflix in April 2020.

Both studied music at Berklee College of Music, graduating in 2002 after majoring in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing and Production. After years of collaboration with a variety of creative talents and unique experiences as in-house composers at Microsoft and Konami, the duo continue to be in high demand for their understanding of music production for both linear and interactive media.

Over the last two decades, the duo have received numerous awards and honors including the BAFTA Games Award, NAVGTR Awards, Global Music Award, and MPSE Golden Reel Award.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045

Ghost in the Shell, the gold standard of near-future science fiction.A vision of the future of the year 2045 from Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki.Public Security Section 9, under the command of a full-body prosthetic cyborg named Motoko Kusanagi, rises up once again to fight cybercrime.

Cybercrime is rampant in a near future where advances in technology allow people to augment their minds with “cyberbrains”. Full-body cyborg Motoko Kusanagi commands the crime-fighting organization known as Public Security Section 9.A wide variety of material based on Shirow Masamune’s THE GHOST IN THE SHELL comic has been released in the years following its publication in 1989, such as the animated film and Hollywood live-action adaptation Ghost in the Shell.

This gold standard in near-future science fiction, with its edgy aesthetic and compelling worldbuilding and visual expression that has influenced creative talent around the globe over the years, is about to offer up a new vision of the future.

Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series) and Shinji Aramaki (APPLESEED series) will jointly direct, and the original cast of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, including Atsuko Tanaka, Akio Otsuka, and Koichi Yamadera, are all returning.

An all-new story featuring dynamic cyberpunk action and Motoko Kusanagi and her team is about to be told.

The animation is by Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS. The Netflix original anime series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.
