The song features lyrics by Daoko, with composition and arrangement by x0o0x_ (pronounced Wakame), an up-and-coming artist with 1.22 million YouTube subscribers known for a mysterious presence and dark, atmospheric style. Together they create a unique soundscape that seems to turn fragments of the city and memory into light.
The jacket artwork was illustrated by Numata Zombie!?, a frequent collaborator with singers and Vocaloid producers. The psychedelic, vivid colors expand the world of the song and leave a strong impression. A music video featuring this artwork has been released on YouTube.

Daoko’s first Asia tour, “THE ‘YOU’ ZIZAI ASIA TOUR 2025,” wraps up with its final show at Shibuya WWW X in Tokyo on November 28. Starting in Shenzhen and traveling through Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, and Seoul, the tour has drawn fans across the region.
Tickets for the Tokyo show go on sale on September 27.

The tour title, combining “YOU” and “ZIZAI” (“freely”), builds on the theme of Slash-&-Burn: clearing away the old to make room for new growth. It reflects Daoko’s wish to share new musical expressions with listeners, as she continues exploring fresh creative territory with fans across Asia.

PROFILE
Tokyo-born in 1997, Daoko rose to prominence at 15 with a song uploaded to Niconico Douga, making her major debut in 2015. Since then, she’s been active across music, anime, and commercial projects. Her hit collaboration with Kenshi Yonezu, “Uchiage Hanabi,” has surpassed 600 million views on YouTube.
A multi-talented creator, Daoko has also written novels, curated live events, exhibited paintings, and acted. She founded her own agency, Tefu Tefu, in 2019. In 2023, she became the lead vocalist of the band QUBIT, and in 2024, she released her first solo album in four years, Slash-&-Burn. That same year, she was featured on Ringo Sheena’s seventh album. In 2025, Daoko has drawn further attention through her feature on Giga and TeddyLoid’s “Act,” followed by the July 23 digital release of her new single “Zense wa Busho.” A digital EP is set to follow on November 19.
