Digital EP Release Date Also Announced!

Daoko’s new single “Zense wa Busho” is now streaming, marking her first release since the 2024 album Slash-&-Burn. Written by Daoko and composed/arranged by Seiichi Nagai of QUBIT—where she also serves as lead vocalist—the track blends Nagai’s signature guitar work with Daoko’s playful voice and sharp wordplay. It delivers a kitschy, post-Shibuya-kei pop sound with a distinct “kawaii” vibe.

The jacket cover was done by Ace Akira, an artist known for combining pixel art and neon colors. It’s a striking piece of artwork that captures how the chaos of modern life and kawaii culture coexist. The lyric video, which uses the same visual, will be released in the coming days.

A digital EP featuring “Zense wa Busho” will be released on November 19.

Meanwhile, Daoko is set to embark on her first solo Asia tour, THE “YOU” ZIZAI ASIA TOUR 2025, beginning September 5 in Shenzhen and continuing through Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, and Tokyo. The tour finale is scheduled for November 28 at Shibuya WWW X. Tickets for overseas shows and early access for the Tokyo concert are now available.

The tour’s title, combining “YOU” and “ZIZAI” (“freely”), reflects the theme of Slash-&-Burn: clearing the old to make way for new growth. Daoko invites fans to join her in embracing a fresh phase of creative freedom across Asia.
