The SEGA TGS PARTY is an event that SEGA hosts the night before the start of the Tokyo Game Show (TGS). In the past, Sakura Index would get an invite to join in the festivities. Due to our real-life commitments, however, we never got to attend the previous events. This year was different and we finally joined in on the fun at the SEGA TGS PARTY.
SEGA is about to Raise the Roof!
The event was held at The Raise in Ginza. The Raise has been the host of this grand party for the past couple of years. Upon entering, we were greeted with free drinks and the DJ playing some beats.

The rest of the night at the party was something memorable. I got to meet some fellow media friends and a couple of local content creators under the SEGA SEA Ambassador program. We also got to share our respective experiences traveling from our country just for this and the Tokyo Game Show weekend.

Here are a couple of our fellow Filipino Content Creators that were at the party 🙂 (Cholo Tolentino and Myrtle Sarrosa)
There were photo activities in the area as well featuring SEGA characters like Yakuza’s Ono Michio and the main character of Shinobi.

The food for the guests were also in-theme for its games. I loved that SEGA really pulled out a chili dog for Sonic, which was so on-brand.

The SEGA Party had great beats throughout the night featuring tracks from the Persona Series, Shinobi, the Yakuza series, and the game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

A party would not be the same without giveaways. Check out the picture below on the freebies SEGA gave to their guests that night.

CONCLUSION
Overall, the party was a special night filled with laughs and friendship inside that bar in Ginza. I personally felt that I have ‘finished the story’ as the site got to attend the party this year.

We would like to thank SEGA for inviting us on this special occasion at the eve of TGS 2025.
