September 24, 2026 – SEGA is thrilled to announce the release of Kalanoro, an action-adventure title developed by Red Raketa Studio and co-published by New Tales.
Kalanoro is an action-adventure game set in the world of Lemuria, inspired by the folklore and vibrant art of Madagascar. Take on the role of Kalakely as you use hair-based powers and an arsenal of improvised weapons to take down enemies.
Rescue lemur musicians, form a band with your funky new friends, and chat with quirky characters on the tour bus. Grow your band, take to bigger stages, and free the island from the clutches of the evil witch Raneny!

Reflecting on this monumental achievement, Red Raketa Studio Co-founder and Narrative & Level Designer Dina Valisoa Ratsisetraina provided the following comment.
Releasing Kalanoro is an incredibly special moment for all of us at Red Raketa Studio. This game has been a long journey, and as our first title, it carries a lot of who we are as a team and where we come from. We wanted to create a joyful adventure with its own personality, while sharing a world inspired by Madagascar, its stories, its energy and its culture in a way that feels authentic to us.
For us, video games have an amazing ability to connect people with worlds and cultures they may not have encountered before, while still creating emotions and experiences that everyone can relate to. We hope Kalanoro can do exactly that, and that players will simply have a great time along the way.

Gameplay Details
Stage Actions
Collect coins as you explore each stage and use them to buy useful items. Some help in battle. Invest in shampoo, for example, to level up your hair and take down your foes.
But remember, fighting isn’t just about thrashing your enemies—sometimes, it’s about dodging them. The dodge action also lets you slip through certain barriers.
Keep dying in battle or falling victim to traps? You can use immortality mode to save yourself from losing a life upon receiving damage.
One final tip: If you want your band to be swimming in fans, don’t forget to stick up posters around each stage to spread the word!
The Tour Bus
Building rapport isn’t just about banter on the bus. You can also forge stronger relationships by cooking your band members’ favorite foods. Make yourself feel right at home with decorations, by growing plants, and even equipping boosters to your bus! Create your own unique base and prepare for the battles that lie ahead.
