The popular adventure game Hito no Calendar came to an end Sunday, August 31. Following the conclusion of the game, multi-talented singer, voice actress, and actress Nonoka Obuchi released the game’s theme song “Hachigatsu no Afterglow” as her new digital single at midnight on September 1.

Hito no Calendar is the latest installment in the Hito no Wallet series by D4KK(Daiyonkyokai), a group of creators that weave stories in the space between reality and virtuality. It went on sale on the official online shop in May.
The game is described as “a web-based adventure game that begins with a young girl’s calendar.” The story would develop in real time until Sunday, August 31 when it reached its ending. The ending theme song was revealed at that moment as Nonoka Obuchi’s “Hachigatsu no Afterglow.”
In tandem with the game’s conclusion, “Hachigatsu no Afterglow” was promptly released as a digital single at midnight Monday, September 1. The single marks her very first grand ballad, featuring emotional vocals and the sound of live instruments that bring the scenes to life in a way that will leave a lasting impression on listeners.
A digital jacket design was released alongside the single featuring an illustration that was used in the game. Listeners can check out the design on the official audio.
