October 21, 2025 – SEGA has revealed more details about the Majima Saga, an additional story in Yakuza Kiwami 2. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch™ 2 on November 13, 2025, and will arrive on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 8, 2025.
In this sequel to the first Yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, faces off against the ambitious Ryuji Goda, the Dragon of Kansai, in an all-out war between rival yakuza clans. Yakuza Kiwami 2 also features the Majima Saga, where you take control of Goro Majima in an original story that takes place between the events of Yakuza and Yakuza 2.
The Majima Saga
It’s February, 2006.
Two months have passed since the Ten Billion Yen Incident. Upon taking up the mantle of fifth chairman, Yukio Terada sets the Tojo Clan Reformation Plan in motion in an effort to revive the clan’s fortunes. Under his new mandate, the highest grossing individual will be appointed clan captain—regardless of their methods.
Now, the frontrunners of the vacant captain seat are Goro Majima, who profits greatly from real estate, and Akinobu Uematsu, a rising talent in the clan.
Suddenly, the Majima Family office is attacked by men suspected to be Uematsu Family members. When Majima pays the Uematsu Family office a visit, he is met with an unimaginable sight and a massive conspiracy. Now in pursuit of the truth, what awaits him is an unexpected reunion that would alter his fate for good.

Characters
Patriarch of the Majima Family
Goro Majima (VA: Hidenari Ugaki)

A violent and unpredictable yakuza known as the Mad Dog of Shimano.
Many have looked to him as a central figure for securing the clan’s future, but he himself expresses little interest in running the organization and instead maintains his position as a lone wolf.
Majima Family Soldier
Ryota Kawamura (VA: Naoto Takeda)

A young yakuza who greatly admires Majima and was eager to join his family. While he does have a bit of a goofy side, his endearing personality earns him the favor of many of the senior members. He’s become something of a personal assistant to Majima and often chauffeurs him around.
Patriarch of the Uematsu Family
Akinobu Uematsu (VA: Miou Tanaka)

Once the leader of a third-string family, Fifth Chairman Terada recognized Uematsu’s importance to the Tojo Clan Reformation Project and promoted him to a direct patriarch. As the clan’s top contributor, he aspires to become the next clan captain, but Majima stands in his way.
Patriarch of the Ibuchi Family, a Tojo Clan Subsidiary
Kei Ibuchi (VA:Takehito Koyasu)

A yakuza with an unorthodox background in consulting.
His sharp wit and quick thinking earned Terada’s trust, propelling him into a patriarch’s position. Curiously, he resents senior patriarchs who still cling to older notions of loyalty, and has formed a mutually beneficial partnership with Uematsu, another newly appointed patriarch.
Sotenbori Massage Therapist
Makoto Makimura (VA: Miyuki Sawashiro)

A central figure in the war over the Empty Lot two decades ago. At the time of the Empty Lot incident, she was blind, but her vision has since recovered. Now, she works as a masseuse in Sotenbori.
Majima’s Battle Style

Majima fights with lightning speed and underhanded tricks. Use his Demonfire Dagger to extend his reach and unleash mayhem on his foes. Step into the chaos and fight dirty—the Majima way!
