April 24, 2025 – SEGA has revealed more information about Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, which releases on Nintendo Switch™ 2 as a launch title.
Story
It is December of 1988. Within the vibrant district of Kamurocho, Tokyo, numerous organizations are mobilizing to seize control of a large-scale redevelopment project.
However, a tiny tract with an unidentified owner, dubbed the Empty Lot, is all it takes to throw these plans into disarray. The struggle over this meager plot of land soon escalates into a major conflict involving powerful yakuza organizations from both the east and west.
As one era draws to a close, the stage is set for two legends to carve out their legacies.
Combat
Go on a rampage with Kiryu and Majima’s unique battle styles!
As Kiryu, outmuscle your foes using his Brawler, Rush, and Beast Styles.
Alternatively, strike fear into the hearts of your enemies with Majima’s Thug, Breaker, and Slugger Styles.

Yakuza 0 takes you through two vibrant entertainment districts, offering plenty of ways to cut loose. Enjoy shopping, dining, and a variety of minigames.
Indulge in iconic pastimes of Japan by getting your groove on in dance battles at the Disco, chatting it up with women on the phone to try and score dates at the Telephone Club, and racing for glory in Pocket Circuit with custom model cars! You can also try your hand at fishing, bowling, darts, mahjong, pool, arcades, catfights, and a slew of other minigames!
