March 13, 2026 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that Sonic Rumble, available on iOS, Android, Google Play Games, and Steam, will be hosting a limited-time the Smurfs Crossover Event from March 16, 2026.
On the same day, a major update will go live, adding the brand-new Party Rumble mode and a new Toy Capsule feature to the game. To highlight the new and improved experience, the game’s title will be changed to Sonic Rumble Party.

A smurf-tastic time awaits players in Sonic Rumble!
During the event, players can earn exclusive crossover items with the Event Pass or through the Shop. Get ready to dive into battle as one of the Smurfs and race through a special crossover Stage!
Schedule: 4:00 PM, March 16–3:00 PM, April 15, 2026 (UTC+8)
Major Content Update
A massive update will be arriving on March 16. As well as adding an entirely new game mode, the update will introduce numerous improvements, including a revamped reward system and more to make Sonic Rumble better than ever!
– Party Rumble Mode to be Added
Party Rumble is a new 1-round mode focused on clearing quick and intuitive minigames in groups of 8. At launch, over 30 Party Rumble Stages will be available.
If you’re looking for a short, casual burst of fun, give Party Rumble a try. For a more intense experience, check out modes like Ring Survival, Squad, and Co-op Battle.
– New Toy Capsule Feature
Toy Capsule offers a new way to earn in-game rewards. As you progress through rounds of battles, you’ll be able to obtain valuable items such as Skin Fragments. Boost your odds of getting a good prize by upgrading your capsules. You’ll also have a chance to score Puzzle Pieces. Collect a full set of them to earn Red Star Rings and other prizes.
– Improvements and Expanded Rewards
Red Star Rings will be obtainable through the Season Pass.
Free Crane attempts will increase from once a day to four times a day.
The usability of the Friends feature will be improved.
