August 20, 2025 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that an Open Network Test for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is being held from 12:00 PM on August 29 to 12:00 PM on September 2nd (UTC+8). All PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games players can join in on the fun! That’s not all, as the Joker Festival will also run from 12:00 PM on August 31 to 12:00 PM on September 1st (UTC+8), allowing players to try out the crossover racer Joker along with Arsène Wing, his unique machine.

Open Network Test Overview
The goal of the Open Network Test is to improve online multiplayer functionality and identify any problems. After the official release, participants will receive an exclusive in-game title and decal as a bonus. Don’t miss out!

Joker Festival

Join one of three teams and score more points than your competition. In this online mode, you’ll be given a set of unique challenges while you race, including one where the team with the most Rings earns bonus points. As you rack up Festival Points, you’ll unlock more decals and horns to use during the Open Network Test!

*Items and Festival Points earned during the network test cannot be carried over to the full version of the game.

Players can form a team of up to four and play online together.
You can join a Squad or invite a player to join yours via your Friend List.
