March 12, 2026 – SEGA is excited to announce that the latest update for Puyo Puyo™ Tetris® 2S on Nintendo Switch™ 2 adds local wireless and online multiplayer to Puyo Tetris Doubles.

Puyo Puyo™ Tetris® 2S is a dream crossover uniting two giants of the puzzle game genre. Enjoy the all-new Puyo Tetris Doubles mode and make use of the Nintendo Switch 2’s exclusive features, including GameShare, mouse control, and CameraPlay!

Puyo Tetris Doubles is a brand-new two-on-two mode where each duo works together on a single field. There are three rulesets available: Versus, Fusion, and Party.

In this co-op mode, share the field with another player and pop the incoming Puyos and Tetriminos together. Coordinating your moves and going for big chains is the key to success here!

By connecting a USB camera to your Nintendo Switch 2, you can use yourself as the background of your board, icons, or part of Garbage Puyo attack animations. When playing with family and friends, try livening up the match with your personal reactions!

With the Joy-Con 2, you can use the controller like a mouse. Drag and drop your Puyos and Tetriminos onto the board. You can also use the cursor to assist players and give them pointers on where to place Puyos and Tetriminos!

Anyone who doesn’t own the game can still play with you using the Nintendo Switch 2’s GameShare feature! One copy of the game is all you need to play with friends in person or online. If you have GameChat on while using GameShare, have a blast talking to pals during your matches!
