April 25, 2025 – SEGA is proud to reveal details about the playable characters in Aniplex’s Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, which releases August 1, 2025, on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam®. This time, witness Gyokko, Zohakuten, and Genya Shinazugawa in action with 3 brand-new trailers!
SEGA has also revealed the early purchase bonus for physical version of the game, so be sure to have a look!
The release date for the Steam® version is August 6, 2025.
The Steam® Digital Deluxe Edition includes early access, allowing you to play starting from August 1st.

Gyokko (VA: Kohsuke Toriumi)
The Upper Five demon, a grotesque being able to freely teleport from vase to vase.
Adept at collecting intel, he uncovers the secret location of the Swordsmith Village.
Zohakuten (VA: Koichi Yamadera)
The demon formed when Sekido absorbs Karaku, Urogi, and Aizetsu—beings spawned from Hantengu, the Upper Four demon. He is able to manipulate lightning, ultrasonic waves, and dragons created from wood.
Genya Shinazugawa (VA: Nobuhiko Okamoto)
The Wind Hashira’s younger brother; a swordsman who joined the Demon Slayer Corps at the same time as Tanjiro. Consuming demon flesh lets him temporarily take on its traits.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is an arena fighter based on the April 2019 anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The game, which launched on October 14, 2021, was developed by CyberConnect2 and produced by Aniplex, with Aniplex (*1) and SEGA publishing it in Japan and overseas, respectively. Additional playable characters were continuously released through free updates, and the paid downloadable content Entertainment District DLC pack was sold over the course of five installments.
The game was met with critical acclaim and surpassed 400 million unit sales (*2) worldwide.
