Reimagined UI
In FM26, the sidebar that’s been a fixture for the series has been replaced with a more intuitive UI that fundamentally changes the way you lead your team. The new navigation bar at the top of the screen provides seamless access to every feature you need, from player recruitment and tactical setup to those all-important final checks before kick-off.
The new Portal feature serves as the central hub for club management, allowing you to check your news, messages, match results, calendars and more in one easy-to-reach place. It helps managers stay organised and focused, supporting every stage from team preparation to match day tactics.
The search function has also received a major overhaul, offering one-click access to information on clubs, players, coaches, tactics and terminology, as well as the guides included in the new FMPedia feature. Whether you’re new to the series or a seasoned veteran, you can find the information you need without any hassle.
Women’s Football Comes to The Series for the First Time
After years of anticipation, women’s football makes its debut in FM26. The game features 14 leagues across 11 countries and 3 continents, making it one of the largest women’s football databases ever created. It faithfully captures the unique aspects of the women’s game, from transfer markets and contract terms to injury patterns.
Using motion capture from real players, the game delivers detailed animations and authentic playstyles—from attacking and defending transitions to running styles. Enjoy a new era of club management, where men’s and women’s football coexist within a single shared world.
An Evolution of Football Tactics
Tactical depth reaches new heights in FM26, with the overhaul of player roles. Managers can now set separate In Possession and Out of Possession formations, allowing for more detailed control over player positions and roles.
The new Visualiser feature shows how your team is organised across defense, midfield and offense, making it easier to understand how your tactics play out on the pitch. Attacking and defensive transitions have also been moved to their respective areas to reflect the new In Possession and Out of Possession formation system.
FM26 offers the most flexible and in-depth tactical gameplay to date, giving assistant recommendations for new managers to rely on and tools that let advanced players exercise unparalleled control over what happens on the pitch.
