February 1, 2024 – SEGA is pleased to announce that SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS – a brand-new installment in the high-speed action series Sonic the Hedgehog – is slated to release in Fall 2024 (PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store).
SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS will feature a new-and-improved Sonic Generations with new gameplay elements, better visuals, and quality-of-life updates, as well as Shadow Generations, where you can play as Sonic’s rival – Shadow the Hedgehog.
Sonic and Shadow each find themselves caught in a time-traveling escapade of their own when a mysterious creature creates time holes in their universe.
Play as both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic in the ultimate Sonic experience or take on the role of Shadow as he comes into his newfound powers!
In Shadow Generations, embark on an all-new adventure set in a unique timeline where you follow Shadow’s journey as he explores his newfound abilities. After crossing paths with his old archnemesis, Black Doom, who has come back to life and is intent on world domination, Shadow is faced with a critical choice that will shape his destiny.
