August 1, 2025 – SEGA is thrilled to announce that a free demo of SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, a brand-new 2D action platformer releasing on August 29, 2025 on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™, and Steam, is now available on all platforms.
A new trailer and a game introduction video have also been released alongside the demo’s launch.

Demo Overview
Players can enjoy a demo-exclusive version of the game’s tutorial stage, Oboro Village—the starting point of Joe Musashi’s quest for vengeance.
There, you’ll find numerous challenges to enjoy, including tougher foes not included in the regular version of the stage and a variety of hidden secrets
Adjustments have been made to the shop system and demo so that players can experiment with Musashi’s moves, Ninpo, Ninjutsu, and combos in Oboro Village.
Arcade Mode is also available in the demo. Put your skills to the test and try your best to set a new high score!

Story

Joe Musashi
The protagonist.
Head of the Oboro Clan, a tribe of ninjas that has protected peace from within the shadows for generations.
Though he’s a man of few words, his clan puts their utmost trust in him.
Lord Ruse
The mastermind behind paramilitary organization ENE Corp.
He commands his troops with callous tact and an iron fist.
Fearing the might of the Oboro Clan, he sets in motion a plan to eliminate them once and for all.
Yamato
Joe Musashi’s canine companion.
Yamato can grow larger to aid Joe in battle or carry him on his back.
Tomoe
A spirited young member of the Oboro Clan who is fully devoted to Joe Musashi’s tutelage.
She dreams of becoming a ninja strong enough to shield the clan from any danger.
Naoko
Joe Musashi’s wife.
Kind and mild-mannered as she is, she isn’t afraid to offer Joe valuable advice and support from time to time.
